A new slot car racer from Slot Mods in Detroit, Michigan has sold for over $200,000 at auction. Housed in the body of a replica Porsche 917, as seen in the 1971 film Le Mans, the slot car circuit is inspired by the racing circuit featured in the film.
With 19 slot cars, as well as a hefty price tag, it’s clearly not for the average consumer, but if you want a closer look at the 917 chassis and the track inside, check out the video below. -below.
The car the track is in will immediately turn heads, but there are a ton of extra details that slot car racers will appreciate, like assorted miniature figures cheering you on from the pits and company logos on the side of the tracks, which represent those that appeared in the 1971 film Le Mans.
