In January 2022, Netmarble announced that it was working on The origin of the seven deadly sins. It is an open-world game based on the Nakaba Suzuki series of the same name. At GDC 2023, Netmarble offered an expanded look at the game. A nearly three-minute video covers exploration and battling enemies.
Things start with Tristan Liones with a fairy. The two head for a hole. He finds a power, which means the two find themselves in a changed world. As the video progresses, additional characters from the series appear. For example, when viewing battle segments, we can see icons and skins for characters like Howzer and Gilthunder. We can also see different ways to travel around the world, such as riding a monster or diving into the water to swim. There are also some light puzzles to access Bigmoss’ secret stash.
The origin of the seven deadly sins is developed by Netmarble for consoles, PCs and unspecified mobile devices. The manga is available outside of Japan through Kodansha USA. People can stream the anime on Netflix. Kodansha USA is also launching the Four Knights of the Apocalypse sequel manga outside of Japan, and will get its own anime adaptation.
