Last week’s 4.02 update failed to meet players’ expectations for performance improvements in The Witcher 3. CD Projekt RED has released a minor patch aimed at owners of specific GPUs.

Last week, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt received a major update with the 4.02 designation. The patch was supposed to fix some of the issues that have plagued the game since the next-gen update, which was introduced to the game late last year. Unfortunately, last week’s update still didn’t fix the entire issue.

Responding to the most serious allegations, Today, CD Projekt RED released a minor hotfix, aimed at owners of GeForce RTX 40-series GPUs.

The review focuses on issues faced by owners of such GPUs using DLSS 3 technology, and the developer suggests that game stability needs improvement.

However, in the comments below the Twitter post, a group of gamers appeared who suggested that a similar fix should also be implemented for older RTX 30 and RTX 20 series chips, using older incarnations of the technology. DLSS. They note that the performance and stability of the game running on older NVidia GPUs also leaves a lot to be desired, which they say requires developer intervention.

It remains to be believed that a minor redesign for the next generation of The Witcher 3 is just the start of further work towards better optimized and more fun gameplay.
