The end of Electronic Arts’ landmark deal with FIFA was one of the industry’s most notorious soap operas of the past year. The separation of the two entities (which was not exactly friendly) to develop two separate football titles (one without the official license and the name it had until now, the other without the team that brought the game and name to what it is now) left the future of the FIFA series up in the air.

EA was the first to move by quickly announcing EA Sports FC, which will also have exclusive licenses for major domestic (including Spanish La Liga) and continental competitions. A good bump that FIFA must solve with a strategic alliance in the sector which is being consumed.

As reported by Times sports reporter Martyn Ziegler, FIFA President Gianni Infantino He has made a few statements in which he essentially repeats the same mantra as a year ago, and in which he assures that he will go “head to head” with EA Sports FC with a title rival to match. In the same statement he indicates that very soon we will have news of this future FIFA.
