The perfect Starfield gaming PC has potentially arrived, as a modder has created an out-of-this-world rig that features a diorama of galaxies inside. The custom PC not only features an adorable animatronic astronaut and twinkling stars, but also a water-cooled Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti cleverly hidden inside a spaceship model.
Naturally, you’ll need to meet the Starfield system requirements to run the interstellar RPG when you land. However, we’d say that building the best gaming PC is as much about aesthetics as it is about performance, and we’re always on the lookout for unique builds that pay homage to our favorite adventures. While it’ll be a while to explore Bethesda’s vast galaxy, the perfect PC for the job has arrived.
The latest installment of Nvidia’s GeForce Garage features the Galaxy Box, a space-themed rig from Josiah Fast of Maximum Bubble Mods with some awesome innards. Instead of using RGB lighting, the interstellar stage uses 400 fiber optic cables to create a star-filled background, simulating a feeling of deep space in deep space.
As previously reported, the rig has a small pilot Barbie doll living inside, perched on her own spaceship that has an RTX 3080 Ti for its engine. You’d usually expect to see PC fans spinning first when looking inside a case, but the figure’s legs swinging happily over the edge of the ship will catch your eye before anything else.
This build is designed to tell you a sci-fi story rather than show off high spec parts, as each component is tucked away somewhere in the scene. Even the water-cooling tank looks like a rudimentary space restaurant, and we can only hope Starfield has the same kind of down-to-earth establishments floating around.
It should be noted that Josiah Fast says that this game was created especially for his wife, who loves retro sci-fi. Of course, if you like looking at hardware gubbins as much as beautiful parts, you’ll find an EVGA Z690 Classified motherboard, an Intel Core i9-12900K, 32GB of G.Skill DDR5 RAM, and a WD Black SN750 SSD on the back. . . We reckon that’ll be more than enough to get Starfield running, but it’ll also keep the best new PC games running fast.
