Riot Games’ next game, The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story, is coming very soon if the latest trailer is to be believed.
With its talent incubator that is Riot Forge, Riot Games shows that the League of Legends universe has what it takes to consolidate itself as one of the safe bets in video games. And the firm has already demonstrated this in the past: in November 2021, Riot Forge released two quality games, namely Hextech Mayhem, but above all Ruined King, developed by the excellent studio Airship Syndicate, previously responsible for Battle Chasers Nightware and Darksiders Genesis.. Upcoming projects promise to be of a similar quality thanks to the talents recruited by Riot Games: the Quebec studio Double Stallion is working on Convergence, a new Metroidvania for Riot Forge, while Tequila Works, which we know from the Rime games, The Sexy Brutal. or Deadlight, I’m working on Song of Nunu.

Another studio recruited by Riot Forge for an action RPG project, Digital Sun, known for the excellent indie game Moonlighter, has been preparing The Mageseeker for a few years., a new game that will feature the character well known to regular League of Legends players: Sylas. A spell-stealing sorcerer still dragging chains and born into poverty, Sylas sparks a revolution in Demacia, a kingdom of Runeterra beset by chaos from rulers who wish to destroy forbidden magic. This game, which looks a lot like Moonlighter in its form (pixel-art, 2D action/RPG and top view), is about to be released on various platforms.
In fact, Riot Forge was able to reveal yesterday that The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch on April 18, 2023.. In other words, in just over a month! The opportunity for neophytes to discover the know-how of the Digital Sun studio, and for Riot Games to establish its universe a little more.
