It was announced that the creators of Moonlight (Digital Sun) are working on a new League of Legends experience called “the sorcerer’s seeker“, taking the form of a standalone 2D pixel action RPG.
All we have so far is a trailer and a bit of information, plus the mention that it’s “coming soon in 2023” to Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S as well as a bunch of other platforms.
“Developed by Digital Sun, makers of Moonlighter, The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story is an action-RPG set in the League of Legends universe. In the kingdom of Demacia, Mageseekers have the power to oppress citizens who use magic. in the name of public order, inciting and indoctrinating them, locking them up or driving them underground.
Play as Sylas, a spell-stealing sorcerer who has just broken free from his unjust captivity at the hands of the Mageseekers. Wielding the chains that once bound you, you must free your homeland from tyranny, one Mage Hunter at a time.”
As you may recall, another League of Legends spin-off story was released in 2021 in the form of ruined kingbut it was a turn-based RPG developed by the Darksiders Genesis Airship Syndicate studio.
