Scheduled for this year, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum does not yet have a known release date. However, a Japanese publisher may have leaked the information.

If you’re a Lord of the Rings fan, then you’re probably one of those who follow one of Nacon’s future projects with some curiosity. In effect, this year the publisher will publish the next game from Daedalic Entertainment, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, for which we were treated to a new trailer during the Nacon Connect conference two weeks ago. And if the latter had unfortunately ended without a new release date for the title, it seems that we now know more about it.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum on the Run release date?

And for good reason, according to an article recently published by our Japanese colleagues from Famitsu, the publisher 3goo has obviously leaked the release date. The Lord of the Rings: Gollum would thus be scheduled for June 22, 2023, in any case on Japanese territory. And if this date means something to you, it is quite normal, since it is also on this day that Final Fantasy XVI will be released exclusively on PS5. Suffice to say that we are far from an ideal moment for Daedalic, which risks being completely eclipsed by the release of the Square Enix game.

Among other information revealed, we also learn that the game would be sold for 6,800 yen, which could correspond to a price of around €49.99 or €59.99 from us. Of course, this remains to be confirmed, because For the moment, neither the study nor Nacon have commented on this question.. So, as usual, let’s keep some reservations about all of this while we wait for an official press release to arrive. That said, if the June 22 date is confirmed, we shouldn’t be waiting much longer for the heart grid.

As a reminder, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will be available from 2023 en PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch.
