Nintendo announced yesterday afternoon that we would be having a 10-minute presentation of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom today, but we actually have a lot more than that.

Eiji Aonuma begins the presentation (which you can see in full below) revealing that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has already gone gold, which simply means that its development is complete and there is no doubt that the game will Definitely be released on May 12th.

Then the presentation of the game begins by showing us a small part of the world before presenting us with the new skill Link rewind call decline. This brings Link to one of the new islands floating in the sky, called sky islands. These will vary greatly in size and complexity, in addition to housing some new enemy types. One of them is the Golem introduced for the first time in the presentation. Not really surprising, but the same can’t be said for what Aonuma shows below.

Ability Combination it will allow you to merge different objects to create new types of weapons, shields, the already announced vehicles (which you can design as you wish) and much more. It can even be used to increase a weapon’s durability, as shown by the branch that is about to break when fused with rock. It also shows other very creative uses, so it will be very interesting to experiment with different objects.

Apparently Link’s latest new ability is Call Infiltration. It’s the one that basically allows you to walk through ceilings and surfaces above you, as we’ve seen a few times before. A great way to solve puzzles and sometimes avoid having to climb high cliffs.

Aonuma-san ends the part dedicated to the gameplay by revealing that we will be able to travel the world without any kind of burden, even when we go from the floating island to the ground level and vice versa.

Conclusion: The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom seems to take the creativity of Breath of the Wild to a new level. We keep going through the video because, honestly, some of the new stuff we saw still has our mouths hanging open.

And as if all that wasn’t enough, the presentation ended with the confirmation that the rumored Nintendo Switch OLED Tears of the Kingdom Edition will launch on April 28th. You can enjoy Eiji Aonuma’s gameplay from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom as many times as you want below.
