The Last of Us Part 1 for PC is suffering from a series of technical issues. Some of them are supposed to be removed with the first patch, which was released last night. Players are sparing no comment, calling it an overdue “day one patch.”

The first update for The Last of Us Part 1 PC Edition was released yesterday, fixing some of the bugs reported by players.

Naughty Dog reported in the patch notes that the studio will continue to actively track user feedback, which will be used to find bug causes and implement further updates. This is in line with the developers’ announcement two days ago, when they promised to support the game long after launch. There is no denying that the 1.0.1.5 patch is just an attempt to minimize the occurrence of known issues.

In a Reddit thread dedicated to the update, players are expressing mixed feelings about the update. There was no shortage of comments that the studio had released a belated “day one patch”. – an update that fixes some of the issues noted by the developers even before the release.

“It’s only been a small patch since day one. This game will remain corrupt for some time. I’ll be back in a month or two,” Deckz writes.

“Joyful on my 2600X/2080 setup, but still takes forever to load shaders!” reports Backbodydrip

The Last of Us Part 1 launched on PC on March 28. The title had a very cold reception in Steam – only 36% of the approximately 14,000 player reviews are positive. The most repeated theme, like a mantra, is that of bugs. We hope that the PC version issues will finally be resolved.
