It’s no secret that Hogwarts Legacy has been a huge seller so far, and the game is off to a great start in retail stores here in the UK. That same commercial success at launch appears to have prompted HBO to begin work on a TV series based on the game, according to a new report.
Outlet Giant Freakin Robot reports that the US-based TV network is in “the early stages of development” of a Hogwarts Legacy TV show. It’s unclear what exact form this will take, but the outlet “presumes” that it will follow the time period of the game and be set before the film series.
It’s worth taking this information with a pinch of chef’s salt at this point: Details are scarce and nothing has been confirmed by HBO or Warner Bros. yet.
Still, the game has clearly been a huge success so far, and as no DLC for the game is planned at this time, it’s possible the teams involved will explore other avenues for more Hogwarts Legacy content. HBO’s “The Last of Us” showed just how popular such adaptations can be!
