Destiny 2’s friendly competition between Hunters, Wizards, and Titans, Guardian Games encourages Guardians around the world to compete as their favorite class for fame and glory. The event is free and will last for three weeks, from May 2 until the end of Resistance Season on May 23.
During the Guardian Games, players will need to earn medallions by playing activities of all kinds, including a new class-based version of the Supremacy PvP mode. That’s right, prepare for even more extreme activity in the Crucible.
During the event, participants can earn two Guardian Games weapons:
- Taraxipo: The game’s first legendary tether gun.
- The title: This Void SMG returns with a few upgrades, including the crowd-favorite perk, Repulsor Boost.
Players will also be able to complete the Guardian Games Event Card, which is completely free, to earn cosmetic rewards such as the new Exotic emote and new title “Triumphant”, among other rewards. Those who want even more can upgrade the Event Card to 1,000 Silver and instantly unlock additional rewards.
THE GUARDIAN GAMES CUP IS BACK
The Guardian Games Cup made its first appearance last year and selected teams from different regions participated. This year, everyone is invited to participate. We encourage players to build their team to compete.
There will be two categories: technical and charitable. The Technical category collects the total number of medals entered during the Guardian Games of each officially entered team. The Charity category reflects the total funds raised through the official Bungie Foundation team registration page during the same time period.
The top four teams in each category will be rewarded with amazing rewards:
- First Team in Technical Category – Custom Team Building by PherianArt
- First team in the Charity category – Custom team creation by Gammatrap
- Finalists in the technical and charitable categories: Guardian Games pendant (value of $200)
- The third in the Technical and Charity categories: the “Apricot Dawn” emblem
