You know that this kind of news always seems interesting to me. Today we received a new video where the guys from The Great War: Western Front, the First World War strategy game from Frontier Foundry and Petroglyph, show us how they recorded the music for the game.

In the new episode, “Marking the Western Front”players will join the award-winning composer and audio director Frank Klepacki (Command & Conquer: Remastered, Star Wars: Empire at War, Dune II) y al director of FAME’S Skopje Studio Orchestra, Sacho Tatarchevskyin a sample of the creative process, with footage recorded live at the orchestra’s headquarters in Skopje, when they met to record the game’s soundtrack.

Each section of the prestigious 74-piece orchestra performs in 31 original songs, each of which conveys the intensity of endless emotions. Joined by a 24-piece choir, the sentiments expressed in each track reflect the delicate harmonic balance of complex warfare, immersing players in the weight of the decisions they will make as theater commanders and field commanders.

The final soundtrack was mastered at iconic studios Abbey Road in London under the direction of Simon Gibson, a Grammy-nominated sound engineer famous for his work on 5.1 surround sound projects spanning legendary musical productions, film and television soundtracks.

The Great War: Western Front – Victory Edition includes a copy of the stunning soundtrack, plus the game, a digital campaign guide with additional information to help players perfect their tactics, and five digital wallpapers featuring a selection of concept art and designs hand drawn. .

The Great War: Western Front will be released on March 30 on PC. Players can pre-order it now on Steam and the Epic Games Store for €34.99 and €39.99 for the Victoria Edition. Players who pre-order will be able to set their battle plans three days in advance, starting March 27.
