petroglyphs (creators of the Command and Conquer and Star Wars: Empire at War remaster) with the publisher Frontier Foundry announced the release in early access of The Great War: Western Front, the turn-based strategy title in which we will lead the armies of the First World War to live (or redefine) the history of the conflict.

The game is now available on Steam since yesterday at 6:00 p.m. for all those who want to enjoy it before next Thursday, March 30, the official launch date. It can be purchased for 34.99 euros in its standard edition, or also with the Victory edition (39.99 euros), which includes a digital campaign guide that provides additional information about the game, five digital wallpapers and the soundtrack composed by Frank Klepacki.

The Great War: Western Front takes us to relive or redefine history in one of the most crucial conflicts in history, taking command of the Allied Forces or the Central Powers. As a theater commander and field commander, you will have to make tough decisions in both turn-based grand strategy and real-time strategy gameplay to preserve the national will of your faction throughout a campaign that spans the span of the war, and that it can extend beyond 1918 depending on your actions.

Will you be trying out The Great War: Western Front before it’s released?
