Square Enix has kicked off a huge sale for FFXIV, making it the perfect time to find out why it’s often hailed as one of the best MMORPGs of all time. With deep discounts on the base game and its expansions, this is a great opportunity to get started for the first time, upgrade if you enjoyed the free trial, or go back and check out Endwalker if you took time. disabled.

But wait, I hear you exclaim, doesn’t the critically acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV have a free trial that includes the entirety of A Realm Reborn and the award-winning expansion Heavensward with no playtime restrictions? ? Yes, as you’ve heard if you’ve spent a lot of time online you do, but there’s so much more to FFXIV than those first two story arcs, and what better time to jump in than now. ?

Alternatively, maybe you’re already a free trial player and are looking to purchase the entire game. After all, while I was there son there are no game time restrictions and you can reach level 60, you are quite limited in some ways when playing with a free account. No free enterprise membership (FFXIV’s guild system), no direct messaging with other players, no holdback for item storage, no access to player markets to buy and sell gear – there are certainly many advantages to updating.

The FFXIV Endwalker expansion is 50% off, as is its digital collector’s edition. Both also include the two previous expansions, Stormblood and Shadowbringers, with the latter featuring some of the best story content in any RPG period, though you’ll need a copy of the game’s Starter Edition to play it. If you’ve never purchased FFXIV before, don’t worry: the Starter Edition, Complete Edition, and Complete Collector’s Edition are also 50% off.

The Complete Edition of FFXIV is the one to get if you don’t already own the base game, and it’ll give you everything in the game’s current edition plus 30 days of playtime. Of course, it’s important to note that once you’ve purchased, you’ll need an active subscription to play, so if you’re not 100% sold, stick with the free trial for now.

FFXIV Spring Sale Discounts

The FFXIV sale is available March 1-15 on the Square Enix store, as well as the PlayStation store for console players. You can play with the same account on both platforms, but you’ll need a copy of the game and expansions on both PC and console, so maybe if you’ve ever considered making the switch, that’s the right time to do so. . .

Here are all the prices for the discounted editions on sale:

  • FFXIV Starter Edition – £14.99 GBP / $19.99 USD
  • FFXIV Complete Edition – £17.49GBP / US$29.99
  • FFXIV Complete Collector’s Edition – £42.49 GBP / $69.99 USD
