In recent weeks, there has been a lot of talk about The Day Before, the title of the Fntastic studio, even if the game exists or not. After the last delay and the publication of ten minutes of gameplay of the game, which also did not leave good feelings, the studio published a press release in which it refers to the unprecedented situation of the game, attributed to a dispute over the register registered trademark.

On Twitter, Fntastic said the following:

“The supposed ‘owner’ of the title rights is the creator of the calendar app, which has nothing to do with the gaming category.”

The developer then added, “After we announced the game in 2021, he also wanted to get the title and applied for the trademarks in front of us.”

The statement concluded: “You vaguely offer to contact him to talk about something, but what?”

Needless to say, the already unusual brand-related delay got even weirder thanks to this statement, and fans aren’t exactly impressed or excited about the game either.

Many fans on Twitter are calling for a name change for the game so it can be released, while others are once again questioning the title’s very existence. Anyway, The Day Before is set to release on November 10, 2023.
