New market data from GSD has revealed the top-selling games in Europe in January. In addition, we have information on hardware sales.

12.1 million games were sold in Europe last month, down 19% year-on-year. Pokemon Legends: Arceus hit hard in January 2022, and since there were none last month, that’s why the drop happened.

Engage in Fire Emblem debuted at number 12, and that doesn’t count digital data. Nintendo Switch Sports was the highest ranked Nintendo title at #8.

As for hardware, 493,000 consoles were sold in the European markets tracked in January. However, note that the data does not include the UK and Germany. The PlayStation 5 was the top-selling console, but the Switch was only slightly behind. Nintendo’s platform sales were down 11% year over year.
