With COVID-19 roaming freely on our planet Earth, the fate of the various video game fairs is obviously obscure, and it is for this reason that E3 2021 is actively seeking the approval of its members to provide video game lovers with a digital fair this summer.

For his part, Geoff Keighley, the famous Canadian journalist, announces that the rescue event which appeared for the first time last year, namely the Summer Game Fest, will be back this year with a second edition.

Geoff Keighley just announced the good news. The Summer Game Fest will be back with a 2021 digital edition.

However, unlike last year, the event will not be spread over two months, but will offer a tighter schedule in order to make everything more digestible. Like E3, the various presentations will therefore take place during the month of June.

The event presented by Geoff Keighley will also be an opportunity to discover the Day of the Devs, a conference filled with content produced by Double Fine Productions and iam8bit.

The latter will aim to highlight the AAA or independent games selected by Geoff Keighley in person with gameplay, news and musical performances. Developers who want to participate in this event must register before April 9th.

As of now, Geoff Keighley has yet to unveil the 2021 Summer Game Fest schedule of events, but we imagine that will all be announced in the days or weeks to come, so stay patient.
