Logitech has launched a new headset for gamers under its Astro brand. Discovered in a very sober pub spot, this model is versatile. Compatible with Bluetooth and low wireless latency, works on consoles and PC. We had the chance to try it, here is our opinion.

From the box to the headphones, it’s sober, elegant and customizable

I generally find helmets fuente de juego “bling bling”. They often feature too many flashy colors for my taste. Here, Logitech offers a very sober helmet! Indeed, we received the black version. The ear cups are tiltable and it is therefore possible to put your headphones around your neck while listening to your video games and the world around you. Also, to improve the personalization, the constructor offers a mobile application that is easy to use.

Indeed, from your smartphone, you will be able to manage a lot of choices on your A30. Thus, it will be possible to add noise filters, to modify effects on your voice but also to adjust the sound equalizer. Everything is very instinctive through the software, and you can save your profiles and change them in a snap. Fuera del software de personalización, you also have a choice with this helmet! Yes, it is possible to talk without putting on the microphone rod because this Astro A30 has a damn efficient internal microphone.

Finally, if you don’t like the patterns inside the transparent shells located at the level of the headphones, you can change them. Indeed, these Speaker Tags are detachable, since they are magnetized to the headphones. It is possible to change them for other models. Sin embargo, when obtaining the helmet, you only have one model available in the magnificent transport box.

Quality in mics, headphones and manufacturing

The manufacturer here does not hesitate to offer quality in all aspectos del casco. Indeed, the plastic used on both the headband and the headphones is robust. Wearing it over the ears for long sessions is not at all bothersome as the headphones are comfortable. In addition, everything is accessible and within reach. For example, we find, on the right atrium, the button to turn on the headphones, another to switch to Bluetooth and a small joystick to adjust the sound. A USB-C port for the charger is the best option available. The left earpiece has a switch to mute the microphone as well as a Prize Jack to connect to any equipment or your removable microphone.

Once in the game with the Logitech G Astro A30 Wireless on your head, it’s impossible to deny that the sound quality is there. It is a real pleasure to listen to the sound design of the games. Everything is pleasantly well transcribed, whether footsteps, explosions, or any other choice. You will be able to identify where the sniper fire is coming from quite easily. The espacialización is competitive and very appreciable.

Where the bottom hurts though is in the detachable microphone. The latter is effective, it is undeniable, nevertheless it suffers from too much rigidity to be shaped as desired. It feels like you have to force a lot to find the right distance between it and your mouth. Fortunately, it is doable. Otherwise, to converse, if you are alone in a room, the integrated microphone will do the job.

Conclusion: ¡Very good gear from Logitech Astro!

You don’t have a helmet and you are looking for top of the range? Then the Logitech Astro A30 is surely the one for you. Has back microphones for all situations, adapts to PC installations, consoles or telephones thanks to a dongle and bluetooth performance. It’s beautiful, light, discreet and will do the job in any situation thanks to the personalization from the mobile application. In terms of battery life, I used the headset for about twenty hours before recharging it. On paper, the manufacturer specifies 27 hours of autonomy, in reality I used it twice for 25 hours for two recharges.
