The last few months have been a little quiet when it comes to news about the highly anticipated Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown, but it looks like 2023 will be a different story. The team behind the series’ upcoming revival has announced a new “Solar Club Letter” blog series, with the first newsletter covering car dealerships and garages in the game.
In total, TDU Solar Crown will have 14 different car dealerships, 12 of which contain a selection of vehicles from different manufacturers. Two prestigious names have their own showroom: Ferrari and Lamborghini.
Although these two manufacturers are not In this introductory blog post, other vehicles were shown for the first time, including the iconic AC Shelby Cobra.
The post also features a selection of other cars, from manufacturers such as Mercedes-Benz, Apollo, Porsche, etc. We haven’t seen much of the game in action yet, so it’s worth taking a look to see what’s coming with the new TDU.
The newsletter also explains how Solar Crown carries the unique version of the series actually acquiring cars. TDU Games has always tried to make buying your ultimate vehicle a special experience, and the KT Racing team hopes to bring that sense of accomplishment to Solar Crown. Here is what Alain Jarniou, the game’s creative director, has to say:
“Buying a car from TDU is always a special moment. It is an essential part of the game for fans of beautiful cars. At TDUSC, we have created special places that showcase our cars. You’ll discover them in real-life locations all over Hong Kong Island as you progress and level up in the game.
You can move freely inside the dealership, interact with the cars to choose the model that you want, admire the exterior in detail and enter to shelter the door to appreciate the comfort, try the car and include the motor, that no siempre is possible in the real life!
Before making your final decision, you can obviously test drive the car to make sure the handling and handling meet your expectations.”
It all feels very faithful to the first two Test Drive Unlimited games, and we’re not going to lie, we’re really looking forward to seeing some expanded gameplay from this upcoming open-world racing game. For now, we have to be patient, but the team says they will “share more exclusive game and gameplay information every month.”
