Introducing the February 2023 PlayStation State of Play stream chia, a new island adventure title coming to the platform next month. Players will be able to get the game on PC or PlayStation 4 and 5 when it launches on March 21, 2023. However, PSN users with PS Plus Extra or Premium subscriptions will get chia added to your game catalog on launch day.
Sony also showed a preview of the release date of chia.
chia is inspired by the game is inspired by the real life of the peaceful archipelago of New Caledonia. It was settled by the French in the 19th century, but is home to the native Kanaks. Developer Awaceb imbued the game with “all aspects of New Caledonian culture”. It includes recreations of iconic locations, local wildlife, and all characters are voiced by local and language talent.
The game’s story follows its titular heroine, Tchia, an islander whose father has been kidnapped by the evil ruler Meavora. Tissue-like creatures called Maano have invaded their home and are threatening the peace of the town. Tchia must explore the islands, overcome challenges, and rescue her father while ending the threat posed by Maano and Meavora.
The gameplay consists of players exploring the islands with various powers. The game is structured as a free-roaming adventure, with various activities and other challenges scattered throughout. Tchia demonstrates the ability to “possess” and control certain objects, such as a small gas lamp, which she sends flying into an enemy’s face.
The game will also have a special edition which will include various DLC outfits. The outfits will be inspired by characters from games published by Kepler Interactive, including Sifu, Scorn, Flintlock: asedio of Dawn, there cat search. Designs for Tchia’s clothes, ship, musical instrument and more will change.
Tchia is coming to PC, PS4, and PS5 on March 21, 2023. March 2023 PS Plus games also include titles like vein code.
