We learned the new release date of System Shock Remake on PC. Hopefully this is the last.

After a long period of silence, Nightdive Studios has finally announced a new release date for the System Shock remake. Or at least its PC version: we still have to wait for information on the release of the game on the PS4, PS5, XONE and XSX/S consoles.

the remake of system crash will debut on PC on May 30, 2023. Unless, of course, the release is further delayed. Recall that it was initially assumed that the title would be released by the end of 2017. Subsequently, however, the title suffered at least three delays – first, second, then third – and in the meantime the project was started again from zero.

After all, the remake was not limited to a faithful recreation of the known story campaign of the original. Nightdive Studios has prepared new challenges and enemies for players. Additionally, the developer has modernized the controls, interface, and audiovisuals, as well as redesigned the hacking system from the ground up.

Fans are praising the studio’s decision.

In the comments below the game’s new release date announcement, several harsh comments appeared, telling the developers not to bother with such announcements anymore. They were answered by players who had the opportunity to participate in the System Shock remake beta test.

They assure that the decision to postpone the release date from March to May is very goodas the extra time will allow the developers to fully polish the game. How successful that was, we’ll find out in May (probably).
