Yesterday was the last day of the regular season of the Super League, and it ended with a spectacular match between Los Heretics and Movistar Riders. The Heretics would have become champions if they had won, but the Cavaliers ruined their party, putting up a fight and bringing the game to the highest level we’ve seen in this first spring split. In the end, the Heretics lost and handed the title to the Rebels.

The match lasted 40 minutes. As usual, the first minutes belonged to Movistar Riders, who had a strong game start led by Melzhet, undoubtedly the best in the league. They took an early lead of over 4K gold in the lane phase against Los Heretics.

However, Movistar Riders have faced issues when transitioning from these early advantages to the mid game and snowballing the map. The Heretics made good use of their opportunities and kept the game alive with a comeback attempt, in which Fresskowy flashed forward and hit only Marlon with the Shockwave.

The game became a constant back-and-forth with very long fights around objectives and a very high level of mechanics, in which Flakked and Supa showcased their immense talent.

Finally, the map was decided in the fight for the third Nashor, in which there were attempts to backdoor up to one Supa’s Triple Kill ends the Heretics’ comeback attempt and robs them of the regular season championship.

This was a huge match to whet our appetite for the playoffs, which begin next week and promise to deliver a level of gameplay we may not have seen in the rest of the split. The game left us all feeling that a potential BO5 between these two teams could be a real treat for the playoffs.
