In August last fall, Konami announced that its beloved JRPG series Suikoden will be getting a remastered double edition, which will include the first two games in a bundle called Suikoden I & II HD Remaster Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars.
The remastered version features improved graphics (all background animations and artwork have been updated) and improved gameplay (battles can be performed faster, auto-save has been implemented) optimized for modern systems , and will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One.
We haven’t heard anything about it since the announcement, but we now have indications that the launch is probably not too far away. The source is the Taiwan age rating system, in which the title was given an age rating for over 12 years oldand which was posted on the Taiwan Digital Game Classification Committee website (thanks, Gematsu).
While this isn’t an official announcement from Konami, we’re sure it will be showcased at one of the June events that have already been confirmed at the latest.
