Therefore, not to be outdone, Studio Ghibli opened its own amusement park in Japan last year, promising to recreate sets from several of its classic films, and the production house has promised to add more details about the beloved franchise.

My Neighbor Totoro is one of the most iconic films on the Studio Ghibli slate, which is saying a lot considering the classic animated films that have emerged since the production company opened in 1985. It tells the story of a family moving to the countryside. Due to an ailing mother, the two young girls in the family encounter various forest spirits, one of which turns out to be a fusion that merges a feline with a bus, creating the now legendary “Cat Bus”.

So, to help create a new attraction and move visitors around the park from one point to another, Ghibli Theme Park will create a new version of the cat bus of real life.

This was announced by Park Ghibli, where it showed some of the first models of the new “low-speed electric vehicles” which seek to recreate the details of the film, and in addition, other attractions should be added in honor of Kiki’s Delivery Service, Princess Mononoke, whisper of the heart and further.

As for new movies, Studio Ghibli’s next project will be the movie How do you livebilled as the legendary director’s latest film Hayao Miyazaki. The film is based on a novel published in 1937 and focuses on a teenager and his uncle during their lifetime. The film is set to arrive this year on July 14 in Japan, although it has yet to be revealed when it will be available in the rest of the world.
