The fantastic previous Xbox Game Pass title streets of rage 4 received a major free update today on Xbox consoles (and other platforms), bringing over 300 improvements to the game and adding new features!

There are too many patch notes to list them all, but some of the most important new additions include:

  • Added special boosters during boss fights.

  • The airborne player can press a special button to perform a unique attack.

All the characters :

  • Lots of reduced hits
  • All charged attacks and last normal combo hits can hit multiple enemies after the first active frames, even if one enemy is hit.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented some wall bounces from dealing damage.
  • Increased stun on airstrikes.
  • Throws will hit other enemies near the player with more consistency.

The rest of the patch notes focus on buffs for (many) individual characters, as well as enemies. If you want to see the full list, DotEmu has posted it on the game’s official Steam page.

Streets of Rage 4 was downgraded on most platforms this week to coincide with this update, but unfortunately Xbox isn’t one of them. Still, we highly recommend it even at its base price of £20.99/$24.99!
