Burst2Flame is pleased to announce that its simultaneous turn-based tactical RPG stolen kingdom will exit its early access phase and release on PC, Xbox, and Switch in the second quarter of 2023. The studio also released today the new world map update which removes the transition between map and battles and introduces three completely new areas to the game, along with a host of other additions and improvements. The update also adds French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese localization to the game.

Praised by the likes of Shroud and Sacriel for the flexibility of class customization and a design that avoids RPG overkill, stolen kingdom embraces the deep tactical systems of RPGs like Divinity: Original Sin to create something completely new. Simultaneous turns allow all members of the player’s and enemy’s team to perform their actions at the same time, creating fast-paced clashes you’d normally find in action RPGs, without sacrificing the strategic richness that RPG fans love turns.

Stolen kingdom features a highly customizable class system that lets you create traditional RPG classes or break the mold to forge a unique champion. Create a spellcasting assassin, frost priest, or shadow-imbued knight by choosing from over 300 possible abilities.

With over 700 lootable items, each fully customizable with modifiers, there are even more opportunities to change the way you play: use the Soulcrusher Abaddon, a mythical mace that resurrects slain enemies in the form of skeleton warriors to battle for you, or draw the Bloodthirst, a cursed sword that grants extra power at the expense of your health.

D&D-like special events where attribute-based rolls will have permanent effects on your character add yet another layer to creating a character that’s truly yours in a title that maintains a steady stream of player options. engaging.

With the release of the latest update, the world that changes with every expedition you undertake, whether solo or with up to six players together thanks to the drop-in and drop-out cooperative system of stolen kingdom, it becomes even larger. Delve into the forgotten ruins of the Great Halls of the Dwarves, venture into the wilderness of the Emerald Jungle, and uncover the mysteries of the Sunken Swamps as you face new enemies such as spiders, giant scorpions, and great wyrms. The transition between the world map and battles no longer exists: you can now directly fight enemies on the map.

“We hope players enjoy the new content we released today in the World Map Update and we look forward to the full release of stolen kingdom for PC, Xbox, and Switch in Q2 2023,” said developer Jason Jolley. “Our goal with stolen kingdom is to focus on the main attraction of role-playing games. We want to make sure players are always in the fight, looting and making interesting decisions, with the freedom to visit friends whenever they want through auto-tuning. It was a real pleasure to see how well this concept was embraced by our community during the early access phase and we hope that more people will be able to experience the game when it launches.
