Announced a month ago, the First Contact DLC for Stellaris has received a new trailer. Thanks to him, we learned the release date of the DLC and also got a glimpse of the story of the upcoming game mechanics.

The story expansion centers the narrative from the start around the kingdom of Yordarim, whose members and story we get to know better in the new trailer. - Based on story dilemmas, new mechanics of interacting with nations that have yet to develop FTL travel technology will come into play. – as technologically advanced travelers, you may gain devoted allies who appreciate your accomplishments, or technologically and scientifically terrify lesser beings.
- Up to 3 new origins will allow you to discover “breaking the chains, revenge and fear of the dark”.
- Existing gameplay will be transformed by new camouflage technology: danger invisible to the eyes may await you at every step. Your ships and lookouts may conduct their investigations unnoticed, but your adversaries will likely attempt to do the same, which your sensors and intelligence technology will protect you from.
