An impressive new multiplayer farming sim combines Stardew Valley and Dungeons & Dragons, and it’s proving to be a winning formula with 91% positive reviews on Steam (Opens in a new tab).

Sun Haven has charmed fans of farming sims and RPGs since its early access launch in 2021, but now comes with over 200 new character customization options, new pets, a museum with 225 collectibles And much more. . As if not much happened in the Early Access release, there’s a lot more now in Sun Haven.

Squinting at it, Sun Haven could easily be mistaken for the Stardew Valley DLC, but look closely and you’ll see a fantasy RPG complete with dragons, magic, which can be used in combat and for farming, and a series of main quests with a final boss. That’s right, a clear differentiator here is that you can actually beat Sun Haven, while Stardew Valley will go on forever, consuming your life for as long as you let it. Not that I’m complaining, mind you.

When you’re feeling restless about farming, fishing, crafting, and romance, you can take on the main quest, which will let you leave the safety of Sun Haven and take on the mythical elven city. of Nel’Vari and the “City of Monsters.” “. of Withergate. Withergate is described as a place shrouded in endless darkness and with “a buzzing nightlife that never ends” and honestly that sounds like a vibe.

Like Stardew Valley, Sun Haven will also host seasonal events; including new additions like Music Festival, Summer BBQ, Halloween and Winter Festival; where you can get special food, clothes, pets, and furniture sets that you won’t find anywhere else.

The romance system is also similar to Stardew Valley, with one key caveat. Dates are unlocked once you reach 10 hearts with a romantic character, at which point you can go on dates, culminating in a “spicier” date that takes place when you knock on the door of your lover late at night. . What I’m trying to say is that Sun Haven sounds considerably hotter than Stardew Valley, so do what you want.

Sun Haven is out now on PC via Steam, and a Switch port is also in the works and is apparently awaiting (opens in a new tab) the “green light” from Nintendo.

Only time will tell if Sun Haven joins our ranking of best farming sims over there.
