Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will arrive in 2023. And the game seems very successful!
Disney is far, very far from having finished with the license Star Wars. This has been seen for a few years now with the increasing number of films and TV series. And this can also be seen in video games. Today, fans are eagerly awaiting the sequel to the hugely successful Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. And the least we can say is that, with this Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the promise is great.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will arrive in 2023
Respawn Entertainment has confirmed that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the direct sequel to Jedi: Fallen Order, which was first announced earlier this year, is coming soon. During the Star Wars Celebration event in Anaheim, the studio revealed that Jedi: Survivor is a direct sequel to Star Wars: Fallen Order, the action-adventure game released in 2019.
In Jedi: Survivor, the events take place five years after those of the first opus and players will find the protagonist Cal Kestis, and his companion droid BD-1, one of the last Jedi in this galaxy ruled by the Empire.
And the game looks great!
According to Respawn Entertainment, Jedi: Survivor will expand on the day one combat system, and likely improve upon it as well. Some players had not completely hooked with the fights in Jedi: Fallen Order and saw there, ultimately, the weakness of this game. Hopefully the studio will have reviewed its copy for this opus.
Jedi: Survivor is currently slated for 2023, with Electronic Arts aiming for a release by the end of the fiscal year, i.e. March 2023. Respawn Entertainment is currently developing this game for the latest console generation, the Xbox Series X/ S and the PlayStation 5, but the latter will also be coming to PC. The studio does not seem, at the moment at least, to have plans to offer it on Xbox One and PS4.
