Developer Stalker 2 GSC Game World published a new social media post detailing a recent insider attack, inflicted by a “Russian social media community”, which could lead to potential leaks.
The team claims that this community has accessed a lot of internal data through some sort of dev app and as a result, various information about Stalker 2 and its dev team may leak in the future.

Of course, we wish the team the best and hope that no important personal information will be shared as a result of this attack. For fans awaiting the release of Stalker 2, it may be best to try to avoid potential game leaks, as the team explains:
“In case of leaks, we ask that you refrain from viewing or spreading any information about Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl. Outdated and under-development materials may dilute the impression of the final idea we put into the game. We encourage you to be patient and wait for the official release to have the best possible experience. We think you’ll love it.”
As of this writing, GSC Game World is still targeting a 2023 release for Stalker 2 on Xbox Series X | S and PC. As we’ve known for a while now, the highly anticipated title will launch day one on Xbox Game Pass.
