Of the soulslike titles of the future, Lies of P is one of the most promising. In addition to the story based on Pinocchio and the Victorian setting a la Bloodborne – even if this similarity was not “intentional” – publisher NeoWiz revealed that it works to make the game run at 4K and 60 FPS on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S .
In a recent interview with GamingBolt , the studio explained that players will be able to choose between “Performance” and “Quality” modes. In the first option, the image will be displayed in 1440p / 60 FPS and in the other in 4K / 30 FPS native – but the team “is working” to leave the latter with the native resolution of 4K and 60 FPS.
Lies of P will have a weapon crafting system and special abilities. Pinocchio will be able to change parts of his body to gain new powers, although not all of them are good for battles. In addition to challenging mechanics based on the soulslike genre, the character’s lies will also impact the narrative as the plot unfolds.
Last November, NeoWiz published a new gameplay trailer for the game , which showed more details about the setting, enemies, attacks, and more — it all looks very challenging.
