Well well well. Looks like a new developer ballistic moon joined the PlayStation Studios family. This “leak”, if we can call it that, comes from a job advertisement posted by none other than Sony itself.

Ballistic Moon developers are no strangers to PlayStation Studios

The job posting for a London-based ‘Senior Dialogue Designer’ says PlayStation is looking for someone to work on “big AAA projects alongside our partners at studios like Naughty Dog, Santa Monica Studio, Guerrilla Games, Firesprite, Ballistic Moon, London. Studios, Housemarque, Media Molecule, Insomniac Games, Sucker Punch Productions and more.”

The “partners” listed here (we have the receipts if Sony removes anything) are all Sony studios with the exception of Ballistic Moon. That it’s included as a first-party developer and the only studio that hasn’t been officially declared a first-party developer (yet) is a bit strange.

Ballistic Moon staff members have worked with Sony before. The studio is made up of ex-Supermassive Games execs, who worked on titles like Until Dawn.

More recently, a job listing revealed that Ballistic Moon was working on a PS5 single-player narrative game code called Project Bates.

Is Sony avoiding an announcement in light of the Microsoft Activision fiasco?
