Hailed by a great success since its launch, the baby of Endnight Games will soon receive several improvements and novelties.
While the base adventure is still very satisfying, Sons of The Forest would still benefit from deepening and organizing certain aspects of its gameplay and content.
Sons of The Forest: AI improvements and dedicated servers on the way
About two weeks ago, the developers of the Canadian studio marketed their software and took advantage of a strong influx of public. In effect, the title sold over two million copies in its first 24 hoursalso with a record number of simultaneous players amounting to 414,257 simultaneous connections.
That said, the work of the teams is still far from complete and many updates will be released soon. Some of them will focus on Kelvin and Virginia, the hero’s two AI partners. Thus, the firm would have “big plans to continue adding tasks that Kelvin can perform. Various ideas in progress could allow you to build a wall around your base, or fortify/repair the base if necessary.
As for Virginia, the buffs should refer to her bravery when equipped with a weapon and when facing packs of cannibals. Besides, other secondary characters will soon see the light of day and can accompany you on your journey.
Still according to the developers, we will also be entitled to an enriched story, additional cutscenes and expanded play areas. Dedicated servers are also in the works, but the availability date has not yet been revealed.
As a reminder, Sons of The Forest is available in early access from February 23, 2023 on PC exclusively.
