With the multiverse now wide open, there’s a chance that old characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe will return to the screen, despite having completed their appearances. While Chris Evans has previously spoken of possibly returning as Steve Rodgers (Captain America) if there’s a very good and fitting opportunity to do so, Scarlett Johansson has a much different opinion when it comes to her character, Black. Widow.

Speaking on The Goop podcast hosted by Gwyneth Paltrow, he asked the actress if she would ever return to the MCU, to which she succinctly summed it up:

“I’m done. The chapter is done. I’ve done everything I had to do. To go back and play a character over and over again, for a decade, is a unique experience.”

As Black Widow’s time is over, does this also reflect Pepper Potts’ future? Gwyneth Paltrow has commented on expanding her role in the MCU and returning as Iron Man’s widow.

“I think so. I mean, I’m not dead, so you can always ask me.”

Would you like to see Pepper Potts return to the MCU?
