A Steam sale celebrating the best strategy games from across the industry returns following its successful introduction in 2022. TactiCon 2023 is a “digital convention” collaboration from independent publishing teams Hooded Horse and Firesquid that aims to enhance a large number of exciting strategy and tactics games from a variety of subgenres, with dozens of new releases and playable demos available as well as numerous offers
Last year’s event turned out to be a great success; TactiCon 2022 featured over 100 games with a variety of demos and sales on Steam, attracting over 1.5 million unique visitors to its event page. On top of that, the event featured plenty of developer panels from the game creators involved, as well as community streams and videos to help fans find their next favorite game.
TactiCon 2023 promises to follow these steps with enthusiasm. The event will feature games released (either on Steam Early Access or as a full 1.0 release) on or after May 2022, as well as upcoming games that have a playable demo ready for the event and all past games that you have seen. . o New DLC released from May 2022. It will also include a similar range of demos, panels, interviews and other live streams to last year.
TactiCon 2023 will take place May 11-15. Any game is eligible as long as there is strategy involved, whether it’s the larger scale of 4X games and grand strategy games, turn-based or real-time strategy games, deck building, roguelike games and more. Developers who want to be part of the event can submit their games until March 24, and participation is free for all selected games.
