Today is April Fool’s Day, but someone decided to get ahead last night by claiming to have unearthed information related to god of war ragnarok 2 – a sequel that was never announced.

Santa Monica Studio is unlikely to make God of War Ragnarok 2

This new rumor comes from a YouTube video with a clickbait caption suggesting players have found cut or unused content in God of War Ragnarok. The content in question is dialogue alluding to a sequel that takes players to Egypt. One problem: the voice lines are generated by the AI.

YouTuber, Omega Fantasy, also did a similar April Fool’s Day prank involving God of War Ragnarok last year. However, quite a few people fell in love with the rumored sequel last night.

As we previously reported, Santa Monica Studio is unlikely to make God of War Ragnarok 2. The studio said it wanted to cover the Norse saga in two games instead of three. And while he will continue to make God of War games, there won’t be a direct sequel to Rangarok.

However, some fans are still holding out hope as they feel Ragnarok’s ending left a lot to be desired.

Take all the rumors that come out on April 1st with a trillion grains of salt.
