In a recent episode of VGC’s New Podcast, journalist Andy Robinson talked about Xbox’s next line of games, and the hosts speculated on what might appear in Xbox’s summer showcase in 2023.

While the output heard nothing specific On what’s planned for the conference itself, Robinson claims to know information about the games Xbox is focusing on in the near term, outside of Bethesda of course. Once Redfall, Forza Motorsport, and Starfield have shipped, Declared and Hellblade 2 would be “the next big things” for Xbox.

“I think the closest to them is Hellblade (2) and probably confessed. This is the next big thing they’ll be talking about. As I understand it, those two are the closest.”

Unfortunately for Xbox fans, Robinson went on to discuss the more advanced games, including a project that continues to “stun” him in terms of development time.

“It’s still pretty amazing that Fable is still miles away, Perfect Dark isn’t here, Everwild isn’t here (…) Everything looks great on paper and it’s just that the games are not ready yet.”

While we’d like Fable and Perfect Dark to be closer than them, we’re not too upset by this information to be honest, if it’s accurate. Avowed and Hellblade 2 arriving shortly after Xbox’s lineup of games scheduled for 2023 suits us; We guess we won’t see any until 2024, but who knows?

For now, these are just rumors and speculation, and we’ll have to wait until summer to see what Xbox is ready to show next. The team has yet to date their E3 showcase, so expect to hear more news on that in the coming months.
