Calle Greg “Riot Ghostcrawler”American video game designer and former head of creative development at Riot Games announced his departure. In a series of tweets He indicated the reasons that led him to retire after 9 years of good and loyal service.

While Greg is relatively well known on social media, few people are able to truly quantify the contribution of his work across the various licenses he has worked on. He also talked about the MMO Riot Games and its future:

» The MMO is in good hands and now is the right time to hand over the reins to the next phase. I intend to stay in game development and have already had several exciting opportunities open to me. And I’ll be with you all playing the Riot MMO when it comes out. »

Marc Merrill, the co-founder of League of Legends also tweeted about it. He spoke about the consequences of this departure for the MMO:

» First of all, we are still in the early stages of development, but we have a direction that we are very excited about. We work hard to give you an experience you’ll love. If we think of development as a career, Greg had an incredible first leg with an incredible team, and I know whoever takes over will be set for future success. »
