Respawn Entertainment unveiled its first-person shooter star wars The game will be a story-based single-player title. The developer currently has two Star Wars games in the works, but while a lot is known about Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, it takes a number of job postings to provide details on the other.
Star Wars single-player FPS draws inspiration from classic titles
The new AAA Star Wars FPS will be a single-player game inspired by “classic titles like Dark Forces and Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2,” according to a job posting for a rendering engineer at Respawn (thanks to the computer). These late 90s games had similar gameplay to classic DOOM. The FPS will be based on Unreal Engine 5 and Respawn says this inspiration, coupled with new technology, will create “a whole new experience that our players will love”.
While the game will be primarily a story-driven single-player game, previous job postings have suggested it could have multiplayer features as well. Anyway, very little has been officially announced about Game Bar which just started development in January 2022. Respawn also has Star Wars Jedi: Survivor which is slated for release at the end of the month. next, while a strategy game is also on the way in Bit Reactor.
