Highly anticipated by millions of fans around the world, Capcom’s next remake should deliver an adventure that is still just as horrifying!

After the (very) good remakes of episodes 2 and 3, it’s Resident Evil 4’s turn to return to the spotlight, nearly 18 years after its original release.

Resident Evil 4: The remake will be scarier than the original

To further strengthen the communication around your baby as new details about the adventure are revealed, the developers spoke to our colleagues at Game Informer. Mainly focused on the new elements of this new version, this interview also makes it possible to realize the enormous work carried out on the terrifying side of the adventure.

In effect, in addition to new enemies and game mechanics.Yasuhiro Ampo, the co-director of the remake, explained that the rise in tension would also be an important point :

The structure, like how enemies appear, is very good. For this general framework, we didn’t want to change much, but felt we could take each element and go further. So our approach was, “could we make the horror elements of the original scarier?” In short, we’ve always been mindful of how to implement more variation.

Ampo goes on to confess that the development team did not necessarily want to reproduce all the freshness brought by the original episode. In view of the industry today, this would have seemed very difficult and so it was better to improve the basic formula with several elements:

Our goal was to implement the developments that have occurred since the release of the original and create a new way to play Resident Evil.. If we could do that, we think players would appreciate it. This is the direction we have chosen.

As a reminder, Resident Evil 4 is planned for March 24 on PC, PS4, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
