The Mercenaries DLC will appear on Resident Evil 4 Remake free from April 7, 2023. This mode also existed in the original version of the game. It is much more action-packed than the main campaign and focuses on killing enemies as quickly as possible to get a high score . (Thanks, 4Gamer!)
Ever since its original incarnation in Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, Resident Evil games have featured a The Mercenaries minigame or something similar. In Resident Evil 4, the Mercenaries version allowed you to play as HUNK and Giant Chainsaw Man, as well as the unlockable weapon Handcannon. However, until Capcom reveals more information about this iteration of The Mercenaries, it’s unclear which characters and weapons will feature in it.
Resident Evil 4 Remake is a revamped version of the original 2005 game. Characters and gameplay are reimaginings of the original. For example, there is more emphasis on parrying with the knife in the new version. However, the story continues to revolve around secret agent Leon S. Kennedy and his mission to rescue the President’s daughter, Ashley. You can read our review about it here.
Resident Evil 4 Remake is available for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X and Windows PC. The Mercenaries DLC for Resident Evil 4 Remake will be released for free on April 7, 2023.
