Resident Evil 4: a record and a peak of players on Steam
Since the release of Resident Evil 7 in 2017, the famous license has continued to welcome new fans over the years. A curve that does not seem to want to be reversed given the enormous success that the latest game is currently experiencing. : a real tidal wave on Steam!
Indeed, according to data collected by SteamDB, the title peaked at 140,240 players on day one, making it the biggest launch in horror franchise history. The previous record was held by Resident Evil Village and its 106,631 connections.
At the same time, this new remake greatly exceeds the releases of Resident Evil 3 in 2020 (60,293 players), Resident Evil 2 in 2019 (74,227 players) and Resident Evil 7 (20,449). A dithyrambic reception, therefore, which could also lead to sales records in the days and weeks to come.
