Today, February 16, Razer unveiled the next iteration of its gaming keyboard catalog, the Razer Black Widow V4 Pro.

This new addition to the Razer keyboard product line is packed with features for gamers to take advantage of, with the Razer Command Wheel and dedicated macro keys being one of the main selling points of the BlackWidow V4 Pro.

The lighting effects of this keyboard, like its predecessors including the Razer BlackWidow V3, are offered key by key. Each effect will interact with the Razer Chroma RGB lighting system, which itself appears in programs like Razer Synapse.

The BlackWidow V4 Pro will also have a lighting effect on two sides of the main keyboard, and three more on the included wrist rest. The control wheel and eight macro keys are located on the left side and left edge of the keyboard, all of which can be programmed for ordinary tasks and gaming.

While gamers can use Razer Synapse to customize each key and lighting effect to their liking, Razer says the customization options go even further, with 100 custom modes that are said to be programmable by users.

The Razer BlackWidow V4 Pro will come with two different switch options, the quiet and linear Razer Yellow and the tactile and audible Razer Green. While both types of switches are fully functional and have a lifespan of 100 million keystrokes, gamers will need to decide which experience is best for them when choosing a mechanical keyboard.

The Razer BlackWidow V4 also includes media keys, dual-grip ABS keys, a detachable USB-C cable, and USB pass-through functionality for gamers who want to take advantage of it in their setup. The USB passthrough ports are located just behind the F1 and F2 keys.
