Publisher Nacon and developer Passtech Games, the studio behind Curse of the Dead Gods, today confirmed plans to bring Ravenswatch to To change. The full release is scheduled for 2024.
Ravenswatch is a cooperative roguelite for up to four players, inspired by famous tales and legends from around the world, and the game pits players against hordes of Nightmares, who corrupt the world of Reverie. Fallen heroes of ancient tales and legends unite in Ravenswatch to face the hordes of nightmares that invade, destroy and corrupt the world of Reverie.
Based on the tale of Little Red Hood, Scarlet quickly worked on Ravenswatch’s Big Bad Wolf. Like all those who suffer from lycanthropy, he transforms according to the day-night cycle, his skills changing according to his form. During the day, he skilfully wields two daggers; while the night brings out his brutality and bloodlust.
Franz is the flute player. He uses his corrupt instrument Nightmares to control a swarm of rats. Using her devastating melodies, she can weaken enemies from a distance while staying out of harm’s way.
Famous Gothic King Beowulf bonded with a baby dragon while trying to save his people from nightmares. Armed with a heavy two-handed sword, he can summon his flying partner to bolster his attacks and block enemy hordes.
Based on the famous fairy tale Snow Queen, Nyss lost her healing powers due to Nightmares. She uses her new assassin powers to glide freely across the battlefield, slowing enemies and peppering them with spikes of ice.
Aladdin is the famous hero of One Thousand and One Nights. While his wife is trapped in the corrupted lamp, Aladdin takes up arms and fights the nightmares to lift the curse. He is an agile melee fighter who can grant a wish for wealth, life or death to undo the outcome of a fight.
Inspired by the legends of mermaids, Mélusine is famous for having drowned many humans. The moment she falls in love with one of them, the Nightmares arrive. As she flees, she realizes that she is pregnant with her lover’s child and swears to do everything to save her baby. Wielding a devastating magic orb that can guide her where she wants, Melusine fights from a distance and can dive into the ground to evade enemies.
