Ahead of the game’s March 24 release, Capcom released a free demo late last week to offer a taste of what’s to come with the new version of Resident Evil 4. It’s safe to say that we have enjoyed our few parts of the brief preview, and fans discovered that it includes a hidden difficulty mode.

Yes, the Resident Evil 4 demo contains the hidden “Mad Chainsaw Mode”, a very high difficulty option for players who have exhausted everything the demo has to offer. The mode seems to appear randomly when starting the demo, so it may take a few tries for it to appear.

As for tackling that higher difficulty option if you manage to pop the mode, well, good luck. Chainsaw boi is tough enough as is, no matter when he’s as “crazy” as he is here!

What’s also interesting is that this mode won’t be available in the full game, as it’s exclusive to the part of RE4 that Capcom made for the free demo. The other difficulty modes of Resi 4? You’ll be able to fully tackle them when the game launches later this month.

Did you manage to bring up this RE4 difficulty mode? Tell us in the comments!
