Seven years after the launch of PlayStation VR, Sony is now returning to the virtual reality market with its next-generation headset for PS5: the PS VR2.

It’s official, the new generation of virtual reality from Sony is launched! Available since yesterday around the world, the PS VR2 is gradually starting to win the homes of different players.. And it turns out that despite a particularly high launch price, since we set it at €599.99, many people finally gave in to the appeal of this new headset. But it must be said that the latter has good arguments to his credit.

PS VR2 is now available!

For this second generation of PlayStation VR, the Japanese manufacturer has decided focus on technology, including acquiring some of the best parts of the PS5. 4K HDR resolution, OLED screen, 90/120 Hz refresh rate, eye-tracking or even haptic feedback and adaptive triggers are thus part of this PS VR2 which, without necessarily imposing itself as a revolution, allows virtual reality to take a new direction.

Of course, Sony also did not hesitate to do everything possible to offer us a particularly solid launch catalog of more than 30 games. Among them, some like Horizon: Call of the Mountain, Resident Evil Village, Gran Turismo 7 or even No Man’s Sky are already available. Others will arrive at the end of March, such as The Dark Pictures: Switchback VR for example, which we recently learned of the postponement.

The beginning of a new generation.

And this is of course only the beginning, since more than a hundred more titles are to come. Just yesterday, for example, Capcom announced that it had started work on a VR update for the Resident Evil 4 remake, while tonight’s State of Play will give us a look at five new games to come. in 2023. From our side, we give you more see you soon for our PS VR2 test which is currently in preparation.
