Presage is returning to Destiny 2 via rotating Exotic missions, which will also include Vox Obscura and Operation: Seraph’s Shield, according to a post from Destiny 2 Game Director Joe Blackburn. Much like the game’s Raid Rotator and Dungeon Rotator, Exotic Quests will allow New Lights to discover content they weren’t able to discover when they were initially released in FPS gameplay. They will also provide experienced players with continued opportunities to take advantage of quests that Bungie may have removed from the game. Players can expect the Exotic Quest Rotator to launch in Destiny 2 Season 22.

“Like our past raid and dungeon rotators, the Exotic Quest Rotator will feature Exotic quests from the past that rotate on a weekly cadence and offer great rewards for players looking to dive into classic content,” Blackburn said in the post. “In Season 22, this rotator will contain the Season 13, 16, and 19 Exotic missions: Presage, Vox Obscura, and Operation: Seraph’s Shield. With this framework in place, we look forward to using this rotator in the future to continue bringing back some of Destiny 2’s most classic quests.”

Players have wondered why specific quests, such as Operation: Seraph’s Shield, which is part of the Destiny 2 Revision Zero exotic quest, must be scheduled to quit the game after a certain amount of time. Operation Seraph’s Shield was some of the most exciting content in Destiny 2 Season 19, and the rotator is a perfect way to bring back missions like this without necessarily replacing brand new content.

Along with the announcement comes several additional updates from Blackburn in a detailed look at what players can expect beyond the Destiny 2 Lightfall release date. Bungie will also be introducing adjustments to the Vanguard Ops playlist designed to make attacks more difficult. Blackburn further shared that players can expect to find updates to Lake of Shadows and Arms Runner strikes “redesigned and improved to match the combat engagement levels of some of our newer strike entries. “. Attacks that haven’t been updated recently, such as Exodus Crash and The Inverted Spire, will have a reduced presence in Vanguard Ops playlists, though they’ll still be available. The Bungie team also intends to introduce Battlegrounds from Seasons 16 and 19 as Nightfalls, starting with the Mars Heist Battleground as part of the Nightfall rotation in Destiny 2 Season 20, which is called Season of Defiance.

Blackburn also announced that Destiny 2 players can expect a repeat raid in Season 22 and provided more information on upcoming difficulty adjustments. Players have a lot to look forward to with Lightfall, Season 20, and the introduction of the Destiny 2 Strand subclass in one of the best multiplayer games on PC.
