The first open-world episodes of the series (which you can find at a discount on Amazon) proved to be blockbusters from the outset, but they also generated more than a few bad feelings due to subpar optimization and many mistakes which undermined the gaming experience.
A situation that has forced the house of Kyoto to repeatedly apologize for the state of the game, also promising the arrival of a patch that solves most of the problems, on which we have today much more specific information.
Although no definitive release date is yet available, the developers and Nintendo have already released the official changelog of the 1.2.0 update, currently only in English, which confirms the resolution of the most serious and common errors in the game.

Patch 1.2.0 of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will also solve most sudden crashes and other graphical glitcheslike the ability to see friends connected online in the background of some important story battles — a feature that could cause some downright surreal scenes — or check-in notifications to the Pokédex of pocket monsters not coming from from the Paldea region, such as the recent Charizard, Cinderace and Greninja.
It will also introduce the possibility of see all boxes directly from the appropriate menu, in addition to facilitating the exchange of items held by our Pokémon at the touch of a button: Nintendo and Game Freak have already announced that the patches are not yet complete, but many more are still to come with upcoming fixes.
A very important small big step for fans of the ninth generation: as we mentioned at the beginning, we still don’t know when the update will be officially released, but the developers promise that it will already be available from February.
It is possible that the official announcement will already arrive on Pokémon Day, the day when the return of Mystery Dungeon, but we’ll let you know as soon as we know more.
