Pokemon Scarlet and Violet bug delete save files after latest update

After installing the update new version 1.2.0some Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Purple Players have discovered that all of their save files have been deleted due to a new bug.

According to Kotaku, the issue “appears to have affected a small number of people, but could theoretically affect anyone.” But what could be more problematic is that no one can identify the cause of the problem.

Players have reported that their save files have been deleted for various reasons. These include syncing with Pokemon GO and downloading DLC. There is also a player who claims his glows were lost after purchasing the DLC. If that wasn’t enough, someone else did all of the above and managed to send multiple postcards through Pokémon GO connectivity before their save file got corrupted.

A Reddit user who encountered the issue said his copy was still playable when he created a new Switch profile, which he did because he was worried his original file would disappear if he played. on his first profile. Currently, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet do not recognize the corrupt save file. Trying to use the backup recovery method hadn’t worked either.

Some fans contacted Nintendo customer support hoping to hear a solution, but things didn’t go well. As noted in a Reddit report, a rep has apparently suggested transferring Pokemon from their corrupt save to Pokemon Home when the feature is active.
